All You Ever Wanted to Know About Insurance

Flood Insurance Rates and Zones

Were you in the Houston Texas area affected by Hurricane Harvey?  Did rising water get close to your Home and now your worried about it happening again?   Even Preferred flood zones, the low risk areas, had damage from flooding.  Home Insurance will not cover Flooding from Rising waters.  In order to be covered for flood damage, you must have a separate flood insurance policy available from the National Flood Insurance Program or a Private Market.  Without a Flood Insurance policy, Homeowners are left to cover their flood damage costs on their own.   In this situation, FEMA has stepped in to help out some that didn't have Flood Insurance.

To buy a Flood policy, we first check what zone you are located in.  The preferred zones are X, B, and C.   Anything else will be subject to a different rate... but chances are you may already have Flood Insurance.

Below are the preferred Flood Insurance rates.  If you need coverage above and beyond this amount, we recommend purchasing an Excess Flood Insurance policy.
